The countdown is now 20 hours till I have to answer phone calls no more. I will be such a happy fellow when 10:00 Friday night arrives. I will actually have a life again. But until then life still sucks.

What I thought was going to be a good job doesn't seem to be so good after all. I am starting to wake up in the mornings just dreading to go to work. Answering IT related questions over the phone sucks. Hopefully something better will come along soon and I will not be so miserable. This job could get better with time but somehow I seriously doubt it. This is my rant for the day and probably for the entire week.

The Long Week

This was a long week setting up the computer labs at school. Yet we still have a day or two left. But the weekend is here and of course football is in the air. Bama is still undefeated beating the Hogs 24-13 heading into next weeks game vs the Gators. Roll Tide

Bama Wins Again

The weekend was pretty good. Alabama beat Southern Miss 30-21 in dramatic fashion again and Tyrone Prothro made one of the greatest catches of all time. Bama has showed me they are not a first half team. This is not good when the start playing SEC caliber teams. Once again another W chalked.

Happy for a Week

Alabama won their season opener 26-7. The defense looked very good but the offense started off a little slower that one would like. But hey, it is a W. I can live with that.

Football is in the Air

Today is the beginning of most team's season. More importantly Alabama's. My wife is at work and I get to watch football all day long. Oh happy day. The anticipation is high with an hour until kick-off. Hopefully the Tide will roll tonight.

I hate Mondays

Monday is the worst day of the week. Especially when you are sore and tired from the weekend. Monday is slowly moving along as usual but as this week comes to an end football begins. Oh happy day! Something to look forward to on the weekends. However, my wife is already dreading the upcoming season. She does watch the Alabama games with me which is a plus. I will be so glad when this quarter is over.

Boredom

This is the second post to my Web Site as I sit here bored out of my mind. I need to find a job. I have gotten my first degree yet I still have no job. Apparently the job market in Chattanooga is almost extinct. Sometimes I wonder if it was really worth coming to school. Then I look at what I know now computers. A lot more than I did way back when. Everyone tells me it will pay off in the end. Well, it needs to start paying period.

Who should be the MVP

Who is going to be the National League MVP this year. Most will say that it is a toss up between Albert Pujols and Derek Lee. I think Andruw Jones should be at the top of that list. Just look what has happened to the Braves this year with all the injuries. Yet they are still at the top of the division. Why? ANDRUW JONES! He took control and has shown that he can be the guy to lead the team. Without him, the Braves are probably third or fourth.

My opinion of the BCS

I do not know how you feel about the Bowl Championship Series but I think it is a load of crap. There are teams playing in championship games that do not win their conference. I am sorry but if you cannot win your own conference you do not deserve to be playing for a championship trophy. When these teams did play in the championship they lost, proving that they did not belong there in the first place. This year there were too many undefeated teams finishing out the year. Auburn and Boise State should have had a chance to prove themselves. This year had a playoff written all over it. Take the top eight teams in the country and put them in a playoff. Let the rest of the teams play in bowl games. This would only add three weeks to the season and would prove who the champion is. The best team at the beginning of the season is not always the best team at the end. This come to my next point and that is getting rid of preseason rankings. Wait until three weeks into the season before posting the rankings. Auburn fell short because of the preseason polls. This is even coming from an Alabama fan.
